2017 Season

Well done to everyone who took part in our hunter trial. Ground conditions held up very well and there were some lovely clear rounds close to the optimum times in all classes. Others picked up penalties along the way but everyone seemed to enjoy the day.

As always, huge thanks go to all the many people who helped in various ways. They did a fantastic job and the competition could not run without them so THANK YOU! Photographer for the day was Sinclair Photography and the pictures will be on their website very soon. The fence numbers will be coming down but the flags are still up at the moment and as the ground is still good, we can still take bookings at the moment for anyone who missed the competition or who would like to come back and iron out any problems.

Details of our competition on Saturday, 14th October are below – please scroll down for schedule, entry form and start times The extended cross country course from July’s One Day Event is still in position and is open for hire. However, we are grazing the fields to keep the grass at a manageable level so although all the fences will be available, the gates between fields may be shut. A course of rustic jumps is also in place and is ideal for a warm up before you tackle the cross country fences. The course will be closing about a week before our competition to allow us to get things ready so if you want to come for a practice beforehand, please bear that in mind. *** Diary Date *** Our annual open Hunter Trial is scheduled for Saturday, 14th October. As usual, there will be classes for both adults and juniors at heights of approx. 3′, 2’6″ and 2′ with some easier ‘L’ options on all courses and there will also be a pairs class. Ideal for both established competitors and those with less experience, it is always a friendly event and will be one of the last hunter trials of the season so come along and give it a go.
